Dear all,
Could I ask for your thoughts on the following:-
i) Should students be given the opportunity to submit multiple re-drafts until they have eradicated plagiarism or should an institution follow a one final submission only rule?
I am of the opinion that there is nothing to be gained from taking the 'one strike and you're out' approach and that turnitin should be used as one part of an educational process on plagiarism.
ii) Referencing systems. It seems from my reading in this area that the obvious route to take is to recommend (rather than absolutely prescribe) a simple systems of referencing such as the numeric system.
Any comments gratefully received.
Best wishes,
Jessica
