Dear Allstat,
The next PSI training course on The Analysis of Binary and Ordinal Data will take place on 29th - 30th September 2010 at De Vere Denham Grove, Uxbridge.
The course will be presented by Richard Kay
This two day course will focus on methods for the analysis of both binary and ordinal data. Simple chi-square methods for contingency tables will be presented and developed and their extensions in terms of logistic regression together with sample size calculations and model checking procedures for logistic modelling will be further expanded. There will be discussion of Poisson regression associated with analysing event incidence and the use of generalized estimating equations for cross-over trials and other settings for correlated binary data. The course makes no assumptions regarding specialised knowledge and will contain a number of practical applications.
Case Studies using SAS will be presented and discussed, although there will be no hands-on evaluation of data using SAS.
To benefit from the early bird rate please register by 25th August 2010.
For further information and to register for the meeting please go to http://www.psiweb.org and click on 'Events'.
Kind Regards,
Jenny
