Hi All,
Below are further details regarding this year's QUAVER meeting. I hope

Dear All
As flagged in my previous message, this year’s QUAternary VERtebrates
meeting will take place at the Natural History Museum on June 7th-8th.
You are all warmly invited to the 5th in a series of annual meetings
which have proved a superb forum for UK Quaternary vertebrate workers
of all varieties to exchange ideas and learn about each others’ work
in an informal setting.
This year’s two-day meeting will be structured as follows:
Monday 7th June – a day of short talks and poster sessions in the
NHM’s Flett Theatre, with teas, coffees and lunch provided. In the
evening those who wish can join in a communal meal.
Tuesday 8th June – tours and demonstrations of the NHM’s specialist
facilities for paleontological research (with special focus on
Quaternary vertebrates). These will include:
* Scanning electron microscopy, for dental microwear etc
* CT scanning – from skull size down to millimetre scale. Also the
production of 3D copies
* Palaeontological preparation and conservation laboratory
* Geometric morphometrics, including laser scanning
Please complete the attached form to register for the meeting. An
entrance fee of £10 (students/unemployed £5) will be collected at the
door to cover refreshments, but you do not have to pay anything now.
I hope as many of possible of you will be able to offer short talks or
posters, or even if not, that you will come along to what promises to
be a most enjoyable meeting.
IMPORTANT: Our mailing list is undoubtedly incomplete, and may include
some defunct addresses. Please pass this message on to anyone whom you
think may be interested, especially new arrivals or new PhD students,
and let us have their details so we can add them to the list.
Looking forward to receiving your registration forms and to seeing you
in June. Please reply to the Quaver email address rather than to our
personal addresses. Deadline for registration and titles/abstracts:
Monday 17th May 2010.
Best wishes
