I have had several helpful opinions on my original post, most of which favour cow.
Is there a source that illustrates incisor teeth of cow and deer in some detail? I have Schmid's illustrations, which lack detail. Also France's DVD, where the teeth of cow are broken!
The identification has considerable implication for the archaeology of the human remains.
I want to get the anwer right, and cite some 'authority'.
