Dear All
The next UKI deployment and operations meeting will take place at
11:00 on Thursday 19th November. Topics will include the SL5 migration
and deployment of SCAS and glexec. On this last topic, please could I
remind you to provide your feedback *today*, especially if deployment
of glexec is going to be a problem for your site. A quote from John
will hopefully put this back in context:
"The STRONG advice from the security people was that not changing
identity put the whole infrastructure at risk, not just that site.
WLCG and EGEE both strongly recommend against this. This is why WLCG
(a long time ago) made the statement that sites supporting the LHC VOs
must change identity. It has taken us until now to meet the pre-
conditions for this".
The WLCG request is for all sites to have in place a mechanism for
dealing with multi-user pilot jobs. I have had a couple of emails on
the topic but so far the status of most sites is not clear. Thank you
to UCL for being the only site to add anything on this topic to the
wiki sections! http://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/Site_status_and_plans. If
other sites could please put information here it would be much
appreciated.
Many thanks,
Jeremy
