actually, yes. a person who merely follows a trend, follows the
instruction=
of a designer. that person cannot possibly create something new, which i=
consider the defining feature of design. That person's actions are no

erent from that of a tree which grows the same leafs every year,

by the way i enjoyed your paper although, as you suggest, it doesn't state

anything new for long-time members of the list. but it is worth rereading.

- seeing myself as a 'traditional industrial designer' - this post from
Frog Design really makes a point (link below).
Its as though the profession of design - having fought so hard to be
recognized now cannot live with the
commoditization that successful recognition brings. We got what we wanted
- BUT did we want this though?
