Hi Jose,
The WCS information in the FITS file is probably in a
format that fitsdin does not support. You could try using the fits2ndf
command in the Starlink convert package instead of fitsdin:
% convert
% fits2ndf fred.fits fred.sdf
fits2ndf is maintained rather more actively than fitsdin. If this does
not work, you could try posting the headers from the FITS file to this
mailing list so that we can have a look at them and suggest what can
be done. You can use kappa fitshead to list the headers in a FITS
file.
