Thanks Malcolm, that works.
Because my sdf still had three axes, I needed to specify the relevant
axis (axis 3 was the velocity axis) in SETAXIS, then exported it using
FIGARO's ASCOUT:
kappa
figaro
setaxis central_HNC_4-3.sdf mode=wcs dim=3
ascout in=central_HNC_4-3.sdf out=central_HNC_4-3.dat
Which gives me a table with three columns: velocity (km/s),
temperature, and error in temperature.
This ASCOUT task is actually much more useful than CONVERT:NDF2ASCII.
