medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Just one more word on this: I have carried out a highly
unscientific test ("anecdote" not being the singular of "data"),
and find that Word for Windows versions through 2007 seem to be
able to open Word for Windows .doc files going back at least to
Word 6.0 for Windows (1993). This suggests that the solution
should indeed be to open the files (which I presume have been
opened but not saved in Word for Windows on the PC?) in the most
recent Word for Windows version that will open them, save them in
the native (.doc) format for that version, and then transfer them
to Word 2003.
Hope this helps.
