I've been avoiding this thread because I'm one of those people on
holiday, but wanted to share this link to an 'open letter' on the
Wikipedia Signpost on "Working with, not against, cultural
institutions". It's definitely worth a read, and suggests that the
looming stand-off between Wikimedia and cultural heritage institutions
could be resolved:
