I just asked a Psychologist/Hypnotherapist we use here, and he wrote an
article about this recently. I attach it.
Hope it is of some use.It went out in a health magazine magazine called
High Spirit.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Tinnitus
Dear list
I am interested in whether anyone has used hypnotherapy, NLP or CBT to
assist people who have tinnitus. A friend of a friend has tinnitus which
is most disturbing when she is trying to get off to sleep.
As I have used NLP successfully for the treatment of intractable pain we
decided to see if a combination of NLP and hypno could reduce the
disturbance. We had a good result. Using a subjective "personal
disturbance scale" we reduced the disturbance from 10 down to 5. Has
anyone else had experience of "talking therapies" with tinnitus? If so I
would be interested in comparing techniques.
