Making a Difference * Developing Critical Research Support Systems
The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), one of the world's leading cancer
research centres, would like to recruit an experienced analyst / programmer,
with a strong record of developing web based systems using Microsoft and
AJAX technologies, to lead the development of systems to support
translational research within its nationally accredited Clinical Trials and

Based on ICR's Sutton site, we seek an enthusiastic and motivated person to
join six database/system programmers providing IT support and development
for national cancer trials run by ICR-CTSU.
The prime responsibility of the post holder will be to produce an innovative
web based system for tracking samples between source hospitals and
laboratories, for inputting and storing the results of tests on those
samples, and for collating laboratory and clinical trial data, the system
being directly accessible to all collaborators. Other duties will include
leading the migration of other Unit systems to similar web based
technologies, where appropriate.
The post will be a senior one within the ICR-CTSU IT team and will involve

Applicants should hold a first degree in IT or a scientific subject and have

Experience of programming in a research or clinical environment would be an
