Hi Everybody,
This is about a new and (I hope) permanent location for our big report
on practice-led research
If you have been paying any attention to our AHRC review of Practice-led
Research in Art, Design & Architecture you may have noticed that the
report has disappeared from the AHRC website. They have redesigned the
site and lost some of the old content in the process.
I've placed a copy at a new, and I hope, permanent home in
www.archive.org, a very creditable not-for-profit project creating a
persistent online archive of open-access material.
The new location is
http://www.archive.org/details/ReviewOfPractice-ledResearchInArtDesignArchitecture
I am also reworking my own web materials, partly to ensure that they are
still there when I am even older or deader and can't afford the
webspace. The introduction to the AHRC review report and a summary of
content can now be found at:
http://chrisrust.wordpress.com/2009/02/22/ahrc-review-of-practice-led-research/
My old website will be there for a while but the resources and links on
it may become out of date. I'll aim to replace it with links to the new
locations once I have everything in its new home.
If you look after useful materials online you may find it useful to
consider placing copies at archive.org and perhaps making a donation to
support this very valuable initiative. University websites, sadly, do
not seem to have the persistence that one might hope for from a
scholarly organisation when the marketing people get hold of the levers.
best wishes from Sheffield
Chris
