Call for Papers: Volume 2, 2009
Proposals are now being accepted for the 2009 issue of the online journal Commercium.
Commercium is a medium for independent scholars, junior faculty, and advanced graduate students to exchange ideas and engage in dialogue surrounding the Franciscan tradition. Sharing, exchange, or relationship, are central parts of the Franciscan way of life, and this journal endeavors both to encourage and facilitate dialogue. This approach welcomes the submission of both complete projects and research in an advanced state of progress.
We welcome contributions dealing with any aspect of Franciscan studies particularly those rooted in the history, or explore the intellectual, spiritual, or theological world of the high Middle Ages. Papers which explore the relevance of the medieval tradition to today's world are also encouraged.
Commercium is a peer-reviewed journal, published by St. Bonaventure University. We invite authors to submit papers (12, 000 words or less) by July 31, 2009.
All submissions should be double-spaced and referenced according to the guidelines of the Chicago Manual of Style. Further stylistic guidelines can be found on our website (http://www.sbu.edu/FranciscanInstitute.aspx?id=15940 <https://webmail.sbu.edu/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.sbu.edu/FranciscanInstitute.aspx?id=15940> )
