Can anyone help Geoff?
All I know about this particular way of folding a map comes from the
work published by David Rosen ([log in to unmask]).

Message: Sirs I am trying to trace the history of a map fold
often named as the Turkish Fold, Unfolding Flower, Falk Map fold among
others. It is a Pop Up type application mostly used with a map. The map
folds flat and pens up rather like a flower. Are you familiar with this
fold and are you able to shed any light on its history or origins
