I found the term 'ramping' for this process in an article which resumes
current trends of digital filmmaking at the beginning of the new Millenium
(Demopoulos, Maria (2000) “Blink of an Eye. Filmmaking in the Age of
Bullet Time” in Film Comment May/June 2000, 34–39).
