Among the goat and cattle horn cores from 's Hertogenbosch there were
pairs of left and right cores with square holes on the inner side of the
horn cores opposite each other (thus at the some distance from the horn
core basis). The holes never were on the outside of the core, always on
the innerside, and at varying distances from the basis or the tip. I
presumed nails, or hooks had been hit into the horn cores to hang on the
