Hi Erik,
In the late 90s' I developed a comparative tool for comprehensively
analysing the theory structures of design paradigms (the meta-theoretical
analytical design tool) which is published on my website (www.love.com.au)
and in Design Studies in 2000 and 2002 plus a paper in the La Clusaz
conference and is also described with all the supporting analyses in my
book. The papers and book demonstrate the use of the tool through worked
examples comparing two different design paradigms.
Cheers,
Terry

Subject: Comparative Design Research Sources?
Dear list,
I am looking for studies that have compared dominating design process
paradigms in different disciplines, especially different engineering
disciplines, product design, architecture, and interaction design. I
am mostly interested in empirical studies (but anything will do :-)
I am especially interested in studies where the foundational design
philosophy and methodology for several disciplines are defined,
analyzed and compared.
If you have any good references, please let me know. Send off list and
I will compile and send out to the list.
Thanks
Erik
