Hi,
I think there's a meeting tomorrow, but I don't think the Oxford
contingent's going to make it since we're all going to Bristol
for the day, so here are the storage news headlines from here:
- We've brought three new 20Tb disk servers online, taking us
from 70Tb online to 130Tb. Yay.
- Somewhere in the process (or at least at about the same time,
I'm not actually certain there's a connection) we seem to have
lost the association between files on the SE and the space tokens
they're supposed to be part of, so we now think we've got 100%
unused in all our tokens. Boo.
The new pools are using a single XFS filesystem for DPM rather
than the four ext3 ones that each of the older pools is running.
We're planning to dpm-drain the old pools, reinstall them with
the single XFS layout, and (possibly) dpm-drain some stuff back
onto them, but that's not for quite now.
Also notably we seem to have only eight and a bit terabytes of
data on the SE in any case. This makes my disk servers feel sad
and unloved.
