It seems that the revolution in pro-Galicianism popular marketing continues, now in the field of political broadcasts.

This is clever stuff. The appeal to a sense of Galician history, the linking of past to present through costume, the latent humour through the use of a well-known Galician comic actor, and the gentle but cautious reminder of an "other" at odds with Galician progress through the subtle displacement of the "centre" of today to the Romans of yesterday. And of course the master-stroke allusion to the scene from Kubrick's Spartacus. It's unusual too for a political leader to appear in such broadcasts, isn't it? I can remember Neil Kinnock appearing in a Tracy Ullman video from the early 1980s, but that's about it!
There seems to have been a turning point in the last year or so where optimism and self-confidence on a broad collective level is coming to the fore. It must have its immediate roots in the response to the Prestige aftermath. It's been a long time coming, and I'm delighted to see it develop, especially as it is done with underplayed passion and a sense of humour.
Best wishes
