Patients with metabolic myopathies such as CPT2 deficiency will often
run CK's into the hundreds of thousands during acute episodes of
rhabdomyolysis.
Not all of these patients present in childhood.

Dear all,
We have received an enquiry from a doctor who is wishing to write up a
patient who had a CK of 335, 000 U/L. I don't have any details about
the
patient but I assume that it was a genuine result. I have heard of very
high
levels in the past but this may be a record for me. Is anyone aware of
any
documented levels in this king of region, or even higher?
Thanks
Maria
