Hello all,
Apologies for cross posting.
Can anyone help?
Here in Birmingham we operate 3 routes using 4 vehicles. Currently we
operate using a manual library system - Browne's. We are due to have a new
vehicle next year which will have IT and finally a connection to Open
Galaxy using 3G via Vodaphone and Service Birmingham. (We've had a demo
and so far it seems to work well with the system they have set up)
None of our borrowers are registered and neither is some of our stock...
My question is this (bearing the above in mind) - has anyone recently
converted from a manual to a IT system? If so, what were the major issues,
were there any pitfalls or problems? Any tips you can pass on?
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
