medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I am not a specialist, but I seem to recall that the Codex Argenteus dated from the reign of Theoderic the Great, beginning of the 6th c. This is confirmed by my copy of "Ulfilas, oder die uns erhaltenen Denkmaeler der gotischen Sprache", which cites a few examples of Gothic words occurring in Latin writings of the 6th c. (p. xiii). So, I guess the answer is Yes for the 6th c.

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hello!
I am looking for any information anyone might have on the use of the
Gothic language after Ulfilas, particularly in the 6th or 7th
centuries. I am particularly interested in any evidence of whether the
language was either spoken or read after about 450ce.
Any lead anyone might have would be much appreciated.
Thanks so much!
