Message sent by Richard Stott on behalf of Helen Chapman (our point Of
Care Coordinator).
For your awareness -
I have noticed as I have been making my way around the wards that we
seem to have 2 different Clearview HCG pregnancy kits in use. The one
which was used in training had blue lines and was read after 5 minutes
and another with red lines which is read after 3 minutes.
I have been asking some questions from Inverness Medical who supply the
kits, they state that "RDC have gone over to our new Clearview HCG preg
test, it was down to them to inform all its customers of the change
over. Those that order direct have received the letter from us this
week. The test accuracy, sensitivity and specificity are the same."
