Also, if a CILIP non-member on LIS-PROFESSIONAL becomes interested by a
discussion with Bruce (or any other candidate) they may even think of
joining - or at least be aware that as members they could have a say in
issues important to the profession.

I would say for CILIP members Bruce replying to the list is a good
reason to vote for him as it shows he is willing to engage the members
in a wider range of ways than just sticking to the forums and also
engage people in related communities that might have an impact on future
CILIP roles. None of us are in isolation away from the rest of the
world.
