As decribed in my previous email, I appear to be (still!) in a loop - logging in takes me round the houses, and attempts to gain access to either JIS or JOLIS are futile. This despite not having tried to log in since about lunchtime yesterday.
I haven't given up the will to live - but with a post that's getting much busier, I really can live without such faffing.
Sorry chaps......

Subject: Re: Anyone else...
The web team at Ridgmount Street have put out the following message: "Unfortunately there has been a problem with the login functionality on the CILIP website over the past 24 hours.
This has been partially resolved: anyone who logs in now will be able to do so AS LONG AS THEY HAVEN'T TRIED TO LOG IN OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS. Unfortunately those who HAVE tried to log in since 3.30 yesterday afternoon may still have problems (e.g. being incorrectly told that their membership has been suspended).
Our developers are trying to resolve the problem completely but if in the meantime you are one of those affected, and need to access member-only data urgently, then we can reset the status of individual members. Please contact [log in to unmask] if you need to have your status reset now.
Once again, many apologies for this inconvenience."

Apply to become a member of your local Hospital !
Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust is applying to become a Foundation Trust and we want to recruit 4,000 members (who can be either patients or members of the public) from the local community to have a say in how the Trust is run and help shape the future of the hospital for the next 20 years. Members can:
* Help influence decisions about future plans for the development of the Trust.
* Support the work of the Trust and receive regular newsletters.
* Stand for election to the Council of Governors and work with the Trust Board to ensure that the Trust delivers services that reflect the needs of the local community.
If you feel you don't have the time to get too involved then that is fine - we can just send you information about our services so that you can keep up to date with our plans. We are reassuring all of our members that the level of commitment required as a member is entirely up to them and there are absolutely no fees or subscriptions.
Applying is very easy and will only take a couple of minutes. You can apply for membership online at: http://www.meht.nhs.uk/foundation-trust/apply-online/. Alternatively, you can request a membership application form by e-mailing [log in to unmask], by calling: 01245 514508 (during office hours) or by writing to Foundation Trust Office, Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, CM1 7ET.
