Hi Eduardo,
The word 'organ' means an instrumental 'tool'.
To organise means to apply such a tool.
Best,
terry

Dear Terry, Klaus, Norm
I tend to agree with Klaus although I don't see clearly the trap in
organizing. Maybe because I don't see the trap I'm falling in it.
Organizing means, at least for me, to give to something the same properties
as organs. Not the beautiful tubular instruments but the living stuff (in
Latin organum meant musical instrument): stomachs, intestines, pancreas etc.
Why do we call them organs? Because they have an instrumental function and
they seem to know what they are doing in the whole system.
That's the sense I gave to organizing: to give a function to information.
Either created or gathered, in a Design method, information must be in
function of the design goal (this has nothing to do with the Functionalism,
but it could even . if you. come to think of it.) . Well, that's another
story.
Being in function is the characteristic of information inside or as design
method.
Salutations,
Eduardo
