and an hourly rate of £12.88)

The Department of Voluntary Sector Studies at the University of Wales,
Lampeter is looking for a suitably experienced person to act as a
marker for their level one course the Certificate in Interpersonal
Skills. The total number of assignments you will receive varies in
accordance with student registration cycles which are spread
throughout the year. On average a marker would be expected to mark an
assignment in 30 minutes, including feedback.
A module marker must demonstrate knowledge of academic assessment
procedures and criteria, together with an awareness of the field of
study. Some experience of the voluntary sector would be useful. You
must also provide an assurance that you can meet flexible workloads
and fixed targets. After initial training and induction on-site the
postholder will work from home and will require a PC and internet
access.
This is a new approach to marking for a trial period, subject to
review and if successful the post may be extended. We strongly
