EPI distortion correction is not the same as eddy current correction and you
will still need to do that. It generally is a good idea, but you might ask
your physicist about the details of how GE is doing it (i.e. using a field
map, some other way...). It will allow you to get more accurate
registrations between your DTI images and unwarped structural images.
Peace,
Matt.

Subject: [FSL] GE EPI Distortion Correction & TBSS
Hello All
I am collecting a new dataset for TBSS and tractography. I have the option
of applying a GE EPI distortion correction at the scanner. My question is:
Is this similar to Eddy Current Correction in FSL and if I chose to save my
data in this way would I then skip this step in FSL?
Cheers,
Deryk
