I have been unable to identify this bone from a cave site in west Texas that contains material from the Late Pleistocene to Recent. My advisor thinks it might possibly be a partial fibula, but we can't find a match.
There are two views of the unknown bone posted at: http://cavepaleo.shutterfly.com/21
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points,
but it is by no means the most interesting.
