Dear Friends,
I know that you all receive the same note that I do with every
posting to Film-Philosophy -- "after hitting 'reply' please always
delete the text of the message you are replying to."
I'd really appreciate it if we could relearn that habit on this
listserve. I like reading posts but I hate scrolling through a whole
digest worth of posts in order to get to the next post.
If you want to respond to a specific quotation, please just save that
bit and delete everything else. Otherwise I find that I get fed up
and tend to delete my digests, rather than go through the trouble of
finding the worthy (and otherwise interesting) material.
It is not my intention to start a thread on listserve ettiquette; if
I have, sorry. To the choir: thank you for your patience with my
preaching.
Sincerely,
Nate
