Hello,
A film that exploits the fetishism of the skyscraper and by extension the phallic power of the architect is the wonderfully
hysterical, and we might argue, fascist 'The Fountainhead' , its insane power doesn't just derive from the Rand novel source but
also from the hyperbolic direction that manages the machinery of construction as though it were the contents of a sex toy store.
You could also look at Wells' version of 'The Trial' that examines the power of the built environment in much the same way as the
German expressionists, except that Wells seems to give concrete an almost oppressively sensual quality.
