A perusal of the health policy literature to find out how a polyclinic might
operate led me to an informative article about their genesis.

It's interesting (and disappointing) to see how little, diagnostic testing is
considered in the plans, though the assumption is implicit that along with
other allied medical services lab testing is "no problem".
The large differences in the German vs UK healthcare market begs the
question, hasn't the integration they are attempting already been achieved
here in 1948?
Most foundation trusts would be in a position to contract to run polyclinics
and integrate their community and hospital based functions efficiently and
well. They might also be profitable.
