An opportunity has arisen to join the SUNCAT team in a new post to support a
two year project to improve and automate serials data ingest:
SUNCAT Bibliographic Assistant
SUNCAT (http://www.suncat.ac.uk <http://www.suncat.ac.uk/>) is a web-
based service which enables researchers and librarians to locate serials held in
over 65 academic and specialist libraries throughout the UK. SUNCAT is part of
EDINA (http://www.edina.ac.uk <http://www.edina.ac.uk/>), a JISC National
Data Centre, based at the University of Edinburgh.
This new full time post is to assist and support the SUNCAT team in creating
and delivering SUNCAT, the on-line national union catalogue of serials data for
the UK, through contributions to the data preparation and loading process of
the contributed catalogue records.
Experience of working in an academic library with serials would be an
advantage.
You will have a good educational background with excellent IT and
organisational skills.
