There could be bad blood between the two orders. Vauchez also wrote about Dominican resentment of Franciscan claims of Francis' stigamata. They thought this was making him too much like Christ, and some images of Francis bearing the stigmata were defaced. André Vauchez wrote an essay on Jacopo da Voragine and whether Saints Dominic, Peter Martyr, Francis and Elizabeth of Hungary belonged to the original corpus of the Legenda Aurea or not, and therein also wrote a little about Jacopo's sermons on Francis. The essay is 'Jacopo da Voragine e i santi del XIII secolo' in Ordini mendicanti e società italiana XIII-XV secolo (Milan: Mondadori, 1990), pp.92-115. The essay was originally published in Jacopo da Voragine. Atti del I Convegno di studi indetto dal Centro studi Jacopo da Voragine (Varazze, 13-14 aprile 1985), ed. G. Farris and T.B. Delfino (Varazze, 1987), pp.53-77.
On p.113, n., of the Mondadori edition, Vauchez cites Jacopo's sermons on St. Francis, as sermones I and II, in R. Clutius, Jacobi de Voragine sermones aurei, vol.II, Mayence 1616.

One possible place to look is in the sermon literature. Did Dominicans
preserve sermons about Francis etc.? And vice versa. Francis himself
was such an international saint, I cannot imagine him being skipped
entirely by Dominicans. Others might be given less attention. You might
