Without a doubt, this is true David. I'm a big believer that the
'shape' and 'form' of a diagram (including cmaps) is at least as
important as the 'content'.
Indeed, a slowly simmering (read, tiny funding & no student interest)
project of mine is to develop a configurable software package for
concept maps that improves the ability to define layouts (shape & form)
for specific kinds of information.
