Thanks Hal. I've always spelled the word with a "k" and wasn't even aware that there was another
word with a "c" to confuse matters further. The phrontistery definition of "ekphrasis" approximates
that from which myself and others extrapolate.
I wish the texts on ekphrasis by WJT Mitchell and James Heffernan would surface in front of my eyes
at the next "organ sale" I scout.
