Hello,
This email is addressed to anyone who researches or is interested in the use
of stable isotope analysis in archaeology.
Within archaeology stable isotope analysis has become well established.
Archaeological application is as diverse as it is widespread. Isotopes can
contribute to a variety of issues from climate to agricultural practices,
from diet to movement. Despite the diverse range of isotope analysis, users
often share common issues, dilemmas and interests. As many of us use isotope
analysis techniques to contribute towards archaeological questions and the
discipline is in its relative infancy we have decided to set up a mailing
list. It is hoped the list will allow us to share ideas and problems, inform
each other of conferences, job opportunities and create links between
different isotope centres. Generally it will allow us all to stay in
contact.
If you are interested in joining the mailing list please visit
www.jiscmail.ac.uk and type 'arch-isotopes' in the list name box.
We look forward to welcoming you to the group and to future valuable
discussions. Please pass this e-mail on to anyone you know who may be
interested.
Thanks,
Sarah Viner & Michael Wallace, The University of Sheffield.
