Climate Change and Forced Migration Conference
29 April 2008
9:00am-6:30pm
Central London Venue
Climate change and migration are two of the most important challenges of
our day. Yet, while the links between the two are controversial, they
are not well understood. Climate change will almost certainly lead to
widespread human displacement, but the scale, nature and impact of such
forced migration remains unclear.
This one-day conference will bring together high-level participants from
a range of backgrounds to discuss how climate change will affect
migration patterns and how policy-makers should respond.
Speakers:
*
The Rt. Hon Hilary Benn MP, Secretary of State for Environment,
Food and Rural Affairs
