medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Athough I haven't seen this particular TV special, I suspect it's
about the supposed 'St.
James' ossuary that surfaced a few years back to great fanfare (with
'Joshua' also engraved
with the name of James - hence the connection of James and Jesus).
However, the 'Jesus'
part of the engraving has subsequently been proven a forgery. The only
other finding I can
remember is a (possible) 1st century tomb of uncertain origin that may
have some connection
(or not) to Jesus. I remember seeing a news conference with James
Cameron somewhere afoot.
It could also be that I've blended a couple of different events
together.
Best Easter wishes to all, from Anchorage -
Dan
