The Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine (CHSTM),
University of Manchester, will be hosting an open day for prospective
postgraduate students (taught and research) on Wednesday 5 March.
Founded in 1986, CHSTM is a major international research centre for the
historical study of science, technology and medicine and their relationships
with society, and also offers research expertise in science communication
studies. Our MSc teaching programme (one year full-time) leads to a broad
qualification in History of Science, Technology and Medicine or to tailored
awards in History of Science and Technology, History of Medicine, or Science
Communication. We also hold a number of ESRC quota awards, providing fees and
full bursaries for qualifying UK/EU students for both MSc and PhD study. The
Centre is home to a large and active PhD and MPhil research community.
