Agree, but I'm intrigued by the afterword, which suggests a greater
fictionalizing than the piece had felt like till that point. But that's
the difficulty, isn't it, in order to get even something as personal as
this done, you need some kind of shaping spirit at work; & to shape is
to create a story (here), a fiction of sorts.... which will then catch
the reader's heart & mind with its carefully constructed, savage,
honesty....
