This was a holdover from last year's post that I had intended to replace with views of the Adoration of the Magi in the twelfth-century (ca. 1130-1135) Transfiguration tympanum of the church of Notre-Dame-et-Sainte-Croix at La Charité-sur-Loire (Nièvre), a former priory of Cluny:

The sculptures in the tympanum of Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité at Pontaubert are (as I had guessed but didn't wish to say without further checking) regularly assigned to the early thirteenth century. While we're here, another illustrated page on this church:
