Lesley - I don't know how to exclude countries when constructing your
literature search strategy, but what if you were to do this?
1. perform an unrestricted search i.e. to 'catch' resources from any
country of origin
2. assuming that the 'country of origin' appears as metadata in some way
in one or more fields - use a search facility in Reference Manager or
Endnote to identify (and remove) records from all non-EU countries.
3. Lists of country names are available from sources such as:
http://www.iso.org/iso/country_codes/iso_3166_code_lists/english_country
_names_and_code_elements.htm You should be able to copy and paste into
the reference software.
This idea depends on the county of origin being listed at all, and
correctly! Plus of course, it doesn't get over the hurdle of
multinational research (sorry).

Subject: Restricting searches to EU countries
I need to restrict a literature search to EU countries only and wondered
if
any colleague had found a 'risk-free' way of doing this successfully?
Many thanks.
