Deleuze's philosophy is concerned on one level with the destruction of binary oppositions. He develops this by positing an opposition between the dominant mass, the molar (and example would the idea of man/ woman, white/ black) and the minoritarian or molar. Deleuze argues that molecularization is a necessary in order to take the first step in becoming, which is becoming-woman. Becoming-woman does not suggest that one must be woman, or act like. Woman, but rather take on characteristics which represents a minoritarian position thereby opening new possibilities of understanding self and body.

Hello Malgorzata,
Of course Preisner is one of the key figures in my discussion. I am
particularly interested in his work for Kieslowski's 'Blue', where the music
plays the role of a facilitator of molecularization and becoming that in
essence drives the narrative. Here the narrative, the mise-en-scene and the
music are each responsible to tell us things that the other elements cannot
tell us. But this is not unusual in Kieslowski, who felt that this was
music's role in film!
Cheers,
Gregg
