Dear all,
We would like to draw your attention to the following session at the EGU
General Assembly 2008 in Vienna from 13th -18th April 2008
TS7 - Low-angle faults
Conveners: Grasemann, B., Mancktelow, N. and Jolivet, L.
There is a growing evidence from natural examples that low-angle faults
occur in extensional and contractional settings and form at different
structural levels in both the ductile and the brittle crust. However, their
origin remains controversial because they do not conform to current
fault-mechanical theory. In this session we would like to bring together
contributions that focus on description of natural examples and structural
modeling of low-angle faults including studies of quantitative mechanical
modeling using numerical and analogue techniques.
We encourage you to submit an abstract (abstract Deadline: January 14th
2008).
