NFER is the UK’s leading independent educational research organisation. As
our web editor, this is your opportunity to transform our site into the
first choice destination for anyone interested in education and children’s
services.
You will play a strategic role in deciding on the Foundation’s future web
strategy, in establishing a strong voice and maintaining a high profile for
the site.
This is a newly created position and you will work with a small,
enthusiastic team, managing and developing the content of the site and
maintaining and editing content contributed by others. First tasks will to
be to plan and develop new content and features, improve existing pages and
update our web QA processes. You’ll monitor site statistics, analyse the
results and provide content strategies to ensure that NFER optimises web
performance and marketing opportunities.
You will have a first degree and/or relevant professional qualification and
significant and successful experience of managing and developing web
content. You will be an excellent web writer with good English and strong
communication, editorial and project management skills. You will also need
an appreciation of good web design and a working knowledge of HTML and
Photoshop. Alongside this you will be interested in education and
passionate about making good sites excellent.
In return you can expect a salary of between £25,000 and £30,000 plus a
benefits package including final salary pension and an excellent working
environment
