Salary: £30,012-£40,335 per annum

Applications are invited for the post of Librarian for the Casimir Lewy
Library, in the Faculty of Philosophy. This is a key post in a leading
teaching and research Faculty. The post-holder will be responsible for
running the Library and for providing an effective and efficient library
service for undergraduates, postgraduates, senior members, research
students and visiting scholars.
Applicants must be educated to degree level and hold a postgraduate
professional library qualification. Several years' experience in
Librarianship is essential, preferably in an academic environment.
Knowledge of international cataloguing standards is required, as well as
experience of automated library systems and other IT applications. The
successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience of managing
staff as well as budgets. In addition, he/she will have excellent
interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Some knowledge of
the subject areas covered by the Library would be an advantage.
