Dear David
As I understand it David Bick's papers on Gloucester Mines were to be deposited in the Gloucester Record Office, his Welsh Mine papers were to be deposited in the Ceredigion Archives at Aberystwyth, Perhaps John (Mole) Hine, Chairman of the Welsh Mines Society can confirm the latest position.
It may be of interest to list members, some of David's field notes compiled during his research for the Old Metal Mines of Mid Wales series of books are available on the WMS website www.welshmines.org

Archaeology, who has been .most helpful. . "
David was most helpful to me when I was researching the Cromhall Collieries
and even sent my photocopies of pages from his notes.
I recently came across a letter he sent to me indicating that he would also
hunt out some information on lead mines in Tortworth but sadly either he
didn't find the details or didn't get to send it before he died.
This letter and the comment in the article made me wonder what happened to
David's notes? Does anyone know?

David
