Dear Mariana,
I am using Reference Manager. It allows you to put a summary with the library data and still keeps the files quite small. It also has a 'cite as you write' function. Have a look at their website for more information http://www.refman.com/.
Best wishes, Jessica

Subject: [ZOOARCH] library catalogues
Dear Zooarchers,
We are starting a new zooarch library, and wonder whether you could give
us some advice on the software you´ve been using for cataloging etc. What
data bases are you using, and what has your experience been with them?
Also, do you know if there is a specific "controlled vocabulary" for key words
in our area?
Any comment or advice is welcome.
Many thanks in advance.
With best wishes,
Mariana Mondini & Sebastián Muñoz
